Furniture Materials

Multiplex Board Birch/Beech: Multi-layered wood-veneer boards (plywood) that are ideally suited for furniture manufacture because of their appealing appearance and hard-wearing properties.  Veneer material is birch or beech.

Multiplex Board Birch with HPL: Properties of the multiplex board with the surface coating of a high-pressure laminate for especially heavy-use areas for tables and wardrobes.

Spruce Triple-Layered Board: Triple-layered wood material board, for utilisation in wood construction, with good mechanical properties.

Spruce: Colour yellowish-white through to reddish-white;  Properties: soft to medium-hard, standard light, flexible and firm; Uses: carpentry work, timber material, veneer.

Beech: Colour yellowish-white through to yellowish-brown; Properties: hard, heavy and firm; Uses: furniture, bentwood, stairs, floor and parquet surfaces, plywood

Ash: Colour white-grey through to white-yellow; Properties: hard, heavy and firm, flexible and hardy; Uses: rungs for furniture and sports equipment.

Birch: Colour white through to reddish-white; Properties: hard, heavy and firm, flexible and hardy; Uses: tables and chairs, floor and parquet surfaces, wooden objects, veneer, plywood.

Birch/Beech Décor: Melamine paper for coating chipboard; water, urine and saliva resistant. The décor coating is used in conjunction with an ABS-rim for chipboard.

Chipboard E1: Timber material board made of wood chips with good mechanical properties and the emissions category E1. The triple-layered (fine top layer, coarse girder layer) supporting beam material is coated with veneer, décor or laminate.

Plastics: Plastics have a minimal density, are corrosion-resistant, highly resistant to chemicals and plant and animal pests and possess excellent insulating properties. The various types of plastics are annotated on the products. The constituents are crude oil, coal and respectively, natural gas.

Metal: Component of furniture through fixtures, bolts and handles. Metals are conductive and usually consist of iron and carbon with a corrosion-resistant surface (alloy).

High-Pressure Laminate (HPL): HPL, made of resin-impregnated paper, produces a highly stable surface with a flexible middle layer. Extremely impact and scratch resistant, anti-static (no dirt accumulation) and beneficial fire-safety properties (B2).

Medium-Density Fibreboard (MDF): Furniture board manufactured from ground fibreboard (coniferous timber).  The term "medium" indicates the homogenous character of this board although the weight is relatively low.  MDF is top-dressed, colour varnished.

Transparent Plexiglass: Polymethyl methacrylate (abbreviation PMMA), better known under the trade name Plexiglass, or also as acrylic glass, is a synthetic, glass-like plastic.

Cotton: Cotton is a natural fibre that is extracted from the seed fibres of the plant genus cotton (Gossypium).  The fibres are usually spun into fine threads from which textiles are produced.

Rubber Foam with the Density RG 28: Rubber foam is a polyester material whose structure is constituted by several cells (from base material, encased cavities, pores).  The quality of rubber foam material is measured, amongst other things, by way of the so-called volumetric weight (density), a figure that indicates how many kilograms a cubic metre of rubber foam weighs.
