Continual tests in accordance with the latest safety regulations and DIN-norms as well as constant production assessments guarantee the highest possible levels of the quality and safety of eibe furniture.
eibe furniture quality and product safety are assessed through the LGA Nuremberg.
Pre-Requisites for the GS-Symbol
- One is authorised to apply the GS-symbol when the applicable norms and regulations have been complied with for the respective product and the technical safety tests have been fulfilled defect-free.
- Testing norms for eibe children’s furniture are, for example, the DIN EN 71 (Safety of Toys), E DIN EN 1727 (General Test Procedures for Cupboards and Shelves), E DIN 1728 (Furniture in Living Areas), amongst many others.
- For example, the structural safety of cupboards, shelves and arbour combinations is tested, the finish of corners and edges and formaldehyde emission are assessed, all utilised materials and adherents are inspected for toxins and flammability, surface coatings have to be perspiration and saliva resistant, no potentially clamping, crushing or sharp areas and no open drill-holes between 8 and 12 mm may be present and headroom must be above 600 mm high, etc..
