A playground world with local charm
The new Talpark adventure playground in Bergneustadt – a castle and town backdrop invites children to enjoy fantastic play adventures.
Following an intensive public consultation phase, which gathered valuable ideas and suggestions for the redesign of the Talpark, it was ultimately the citizens of Bergneustadt who made the decision: in a public vote on the plans submitted by various manufacturers for the design of the playground, the majority voted in favour of the design by eibe.

A city park for everyone
After a few adjustments to the initial design, a second small medieval Bergneustadt emerged in Talpark over the course of a year – a playground paradise for children and, with the expansion and redesign of the city park, an attractive place for families to spend time. The green space, which covers almost 1 hectare, is designed as a versatile leisure and exercise park. In addition to the new play area, walking paths with comfortable benches, an open meadow for all kinds of games and exercise, sunny and shady spots, picnic areas and extensive planting make the new Talpark a real asset for the city and its residents.
Characteristic play world
The highlight and eye-catcher is the large, majestic play castle in the centre of the play area. With its colour scheme and many detailed design and play elements such as pointed roofs, large towers, small mini towers, bay windows, shutters, pretty street lamps and even a stepped gable, it enchantingly reflects the typical regional architecture and relates it to the nearby old town. With its height, winding play levels and varied climbs and transitions of varying degrees of difficulty, the play equipment is a true play wonder. The net bridge and crawl tunnel at lofty heights, the giant tube slide and the spectacular lattice tube climb are just some of the attractions that encourage children to exercise and engage in imaginative role play. All play and movement elements are designed to train and expand their physical, motor and cognitive skills while providing long-lasting fun.
Individual design with lots of play value
Climbing, balancing, hanging, crawling, sliding – the versatility of the modular system, the materials and the statics of the brand unique make it possible to integrate all types of movement into a play structure of this size and to achieve a great height for the play towers. With individual design elements, colours and shapes, it is possible to visually highlight any theme and special characteristics of a location, such as here in Bergneustadt, thus creating a special recognition value.
Accessibility
When planning and constructing the Talpark playground, it was a matter of course that the site would be barrier-free and that play equipment would be available for children of all ages, with and without disabilities. A seesaw is designed as a standing seesaw, the trampoline is at ground level and the rotating carousel can be accessed by wheelchair. The nest swing invites children to swing while sitting or lying down. Part of the play area has been equipped with synthetic fall protection flooring so that wheelchair users and visitors with walking disabilities can access the play equipment.
Water and sand play for the little ones
The youngest playground visitors especially love playing with water and sand. At the Talpark playground, a separate area has been lovingly designed with equipment from the brand paradiso to accommodate this rather quiet play theme. The Talpark now has its own little sandpit with an adjoining playhouse (including a slide). The popular building material is transported to the site in buckets using a lift and overhead conveyor. Of course, a hand pump with channels and basins for cool water is also a must. Here, too, the pump station is accessible thanks to the synthetic flooring.
Playgrounds for special places
eibe unique is designed for large facilities, tall towers and special locations whose uniqueness can be further enhanced with a play world.
