Ship ahoy for little sailors
Welcome to the playground harbour of the Kiku Kinderland Osterholz day care centre!
A day care centre playground with a regional connection
The newly designed outdoor area of the day care centre is entirely dedicated to the major themes of the Hanseatic city on the Weser - harbour, shipping, water and sea. The eibe play ship "Pinta" is located in the middle of the generously designed harbour play landscape and awaits little sailors and pirates who can board the ship via a large climbing net, a wobbly bridge, through the bow or stern and steer it through the stormy seas of the Kinderland sea. Climbing, balancing, letting off steam to their heart's content or losing themselves in fantastic maritime role play in the adventures on the great sea voyage - playing on the Pinta stimulates children's creativity, trains gross and fine motor skills and encourages lots of movement.
But there are many more great highlights in the Kinderland harbour waters: There is a dinghy stranded in the sand, and the boxes of flotsam washed ashore are a good place to take a breather after strenuous seafaring adventures. At two sand construction sites in the harbour basin, kids can dig and muddy to their heart's delight. In the playhouses on spring stilts, the little adventurers save themselves from the tide of the playground sea, and in the background, willow huts invite them to quiet role-playing. Across bridges and bollards, accompanied by the children's own seagulls, the Kinderland kids cross their playground sea. At the end of the fantastic journey, a nest swing invites them to dream of journeys across the seven seas.
The climbing play equipment for the very little ones from the eibe brand minimondo, with its sea-blue net bridge, is reminiscent of a fishing boat. The little ones balance or crawl over the net in which the little fish are cavorting to whiz down the slide on the other side accompanied by two funny dolphins. In between, colourful play panels lovingly designed with sea creatures fascinate. They turn play into a sensory experience and promote the children's fine motor skills.
The spacious outdoor area of the Kiku Kinderland Osterholz day care centre offers all age groups - from 6 months to school enrolment - lots of play value, a great variety of movement possibilities, motor challenges, sensory experiences but also the important rest and retreat areas.
eibe play equipment for the supervised area is designed and created with a focus on play and educational added value and is made of high-quality FSC-certified wood. The extensive eibe range especially for childcare and a lot of information about our play equipment can be found in the catalogue "Childcare 2022/23".
