Close to nature - a play experience at Parc Bryn Bach

High towers, slides and nature-based fun

Play fun at treetop height

Located in the heart of Tredegar in South East Wales, Bryn Bach Park offers a range of outdoor activities for recreationists and nature lovers of all ages. The park, a local nature reserve, includes extensive grasslands and woodlands and a 36-acre lake. Whether swimming, kayaking, hiking, biking and more, the park is a place for outdoor relaxation and recreational fun.

In order to offer families and especially younger park guests even more eventful leisure fun, eibe play was contracted in 2019 to design a large adventure playground. Opened in 2020, the playground has become the most popular attraction in the nature park among families.

A centrally located play area with two large towers, several floors with exciting climbing options and a giant tube slide offers adventurous play and exercise fun up to treetop height and thrills visitors young and old with lots of play value. Around the Treetop Village, eibe play designed a customised play area from the product brands unique and ecorino. Here, up to 150 children aged 1 and 14 can climb, slide, balance, swing, see-saw etc. to their heart's content and let their energy run free.

When planning the play world in Bryn Bach Park, great importance was attached to an inclusive concept. Enabling children with and without disabilities to play together, experience the fun of movement, test their own limits and master challenges in a safe environment was an important objective in developing the inclusive planning concept.

The theme of nature was implemented, among other things, in the design of the synthetic fall protection and with numerous play panels around the play area.
